The Round Voyage Ålesund is Havila's signature journey in miniature: ten days along the heart of the Norwegian coast, from the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund to Kirkenes on the Barents Sea, and back again. Along the way, the ship glides through some of Norway's most spectacular fjords, calls at historic Trondheim, the Lofoten Islands, and the Arctic capital Tromsø, before reaching Honningsvåg, gateway to the North Cape, and Kirkenes itself.
Depending on the season, the polar night brings a chance to see the Northern Lights dance above the fjords, while in summer the midnight sun keeps the coastline bathed in golden light around the clock. After turning at Kirkenes, the ship retraces the coast by daylight, revealing ports and landscapes passed at night on the way north — a full, unbroken portrait of Arctic Norway from Ålesund and back again.
