Torghatten mountain during sunset, Norway

Torghatten is the island with the big hole through the mountain. According to legend, the hole was made when a giant shot his arrow at a rival, and the hole left by the arrow is still visible—a 35-metre high, natural tunnel.

The Vega Islands are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For over 1,500 years, the islanders have been making small shelters that the eider ducks can build their nests in, and have had the wild seabirds almost as domestic animals. When the nests are empty, the down is collected and used to make the softest, warmest eiderdown quilts imaginable.

Nordland has its very special sculpture park. There are 36 large works of art spread throughout the county. Maybe you can spot some from the deck on the coastal voyage. You will definitely see "Steinar Breiflabb i Brønnøysund" ("Stone Monkfish in Brønnøysund"). In the middle of the approach is an island that was transformed into a 70 metre long fish.
